Basic Purpose of Position:
The holder of this position is responsible for the design, coordination and delivery of training material to further BSF’s window film sales efforts. The training coordinator will be responsible for delivering educational material on a global basis to the Bekaert Specialty Films (BSF) sales organization, service center personnel and customers regarding the functionalities of window film including how to sell and install the products. In addition, this position will serve as a technical contact for BSF and therefore must be technically knowledgeable and customer savvy.
Essential Functions of the Position:
- This position will deliver the current BSF window film curriculum on a global basis and will be responsible for editing and updating the material to ensure the material is accurate, meaningful and up to date.
- This position will be responsible for conducting needs assessments in conjunction with the creation of new training documents, including installation advisories, as trends and technologies change within the industry.
- This postion will assist the Technical Services Manager to implement the necessary systems/means in order for BSF field sales people to be technical/commercially pro-active (e.g. training on use of technical specs and technical website pages).
- This position will assist the Technical Services Manager to provide essential input for BSF’s window film product technical and application bulletins – on a global basis (bearing in mind different glazing systems across the globe, e.g. different films/glazing system combinations, energy transfer differences with different types of film/glazing systems).
- This position will represent BSF with market influencers such as architects, where their technical input is required.
Non-Essential Functions of the Position:
- Performs other duties as assigned and as necessary.
Essential Requirements:
- Must have excellent training capabilities, both verbal and written
- Must have experience in the window film industry, preferably in a technical and/or installation capacity during 4-5 years.
- Needs to have experience with different glazing systems and be knowledgeable about glass.
- Must have excellent people skills as this position will have significant exposure to BSF’s key accounts (incl. How to communicate technical figures into real advantages for customers, e.g. reduction of installation time, increase of energy savings, etc.)
- Must be proficient in commonly used software programs (i.e., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project). Previous experience using Lotus Notes is preferred.
- Verbal/written communication skills.
- Be proactive.
- Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally on short notice required.
- Team worker – close interaction within the Technical Services Team and with Marketing Communications Department (specification sheets, technical advisories, technical product positioning).
