ComputerCut 5.0 increases efficiency for residential, commercial and automotive window film installations.
February 13, 2006 -- Today Bekaert announced the latest version of its Internet-based software for window film pattern cutting, ComputerCut 5.0 - designed to increase the installation accuracy and productivity for professional residential, commercial and automotive window film dealers. ComputerCut 5.0 offers an even wider array of features than previous versions including:
- Windows-like user interface,
- new tracking and reporting capabilities for online product inventory management,
- color-coded driver and passenger windows for easy identification and enhanced rotating capabilities, allowing for more precise design and accurate cutting,
- a new graphic design component that provides installers the ability to expand business offerings to include window design at no additional cost,
- and a new window planner that arranges and optimizes the placement of selected window patterns for product cutting – to minimize product waste and increase production efficiencies, also enabling installers of any market segment to take on more projects in less time.
"We designed the ComputerCut upgrades based on direct feedback from professionals in the field who are installing window film in homes, offices, shops and on vehicles," said Bekaert Automotive Programs Manager Rob Garlo. "This valuable input helped us design the new 5.0 version of the software, making it possible for any window film professional to expand business both in quantity of installations and by diversifying the types of projects they offer."
"ComputerCut version 5.0 is awesome; this will be the future of window tinting," said Laurence Streidel Owner of Winners Window Tint in Maryland (www.winnerswindowtint.com). "I save eight minutes per window and I use this time to increase my shop's volume. I am now doing 12 additional cars each week, which enabled us to open a second shop and continue to grow our business."
