In and out of the home, transparent window film helps block harmful solar rays
May 22, 2006 – Bekaert offers solar protection window films that provide an extra layer of protection for people concerned about the harmful effects of the sun on their skin. Excessive exposure to the sun, which can even occur while enjoying a break in your local coffee house, increases the likelihood of developing skin cancer. In fact, the most common form of skin cancer (basal cell carcinoma) affects 800,000 Americans each year, according to The Skin Cancer Foundation. Bekaert developed technically advanced window films that help block harmful ultraviolet radiation (UVR) without altering the appearance of homes or automobiles.
